The Hereford Hangover: 80's High School Reunion!

This past weekend was Doug's 80's High School Reunion in Hereford!Trent Layman and Aly "Almost Layman" came and spent the

weekend with us! Doug and Trent have been friends since

they were preschoolers!

About 200 alum showed up to enjoy the activities!

There was a great BBQ dinner, dancing, slide show,

awards, lots of laughing and DRINKING!!!

This is the glorious class of '83! The reunion was planned

pretty quickly and not everyone could attend!

The Hangover was a great bash! I even had a good time and the

only ones I knew going into the night were Doug, Trent and Aly!

I made many more friends by the end of the night!

We will ALL be looking forward to the next

HEREFORD CLASS REUNION!!!

Flag Football.... Big Daddy Style!!

Big Daddy couldn't let Jordan always have the fun of playing Flag Football!!

Doug played in a tournament this past weekend -- and loved

every minute of it!

Granted they were the 'old' guys as far as teams went.... but they

gave every team a run for their money!

Big Daddy still has the moves.... and the sore body to prove it!
Four days later...he is still feelin' it!!

July Fun!

We spend most of our days at the pool!
The kiddo's love it and I get to work on my tan
so it's a win - win!!!
Doug, Jordan and his best buddy Luke working on
making a 3 man stack! This kept them occupied for
about 30 minutes... tee hee :)
This stack was pretty easy... since Miss Tiny Hiney
was on the top! Aren't they cute -- I love my stack!!

Finding things the kids love to do has been hard -- until this!!!!
"The Foamerator"!! Found it in family magazine and thought
it sounded pretty easy to make. Well Jordan and Piper have
spent lots of time over several days playing with them....

They have foam for days and have 'built' all kinds of things -
without many fights!!! Their imaginations have really run
wild with this one!!!

July in South Fork

Another beautiful July in South Fork! Hanging out on the Bridge at
Big Meadow Lake... It was a little chilly -
HEY - even the kids were cold - so it wasn't just me!
(This is where Jordan caught his first fish)

We stopped at a stream on the way down from Big Meadow
and Jordan and Piper decided it was time to get wet!
They soon found out that mountain streams are
VERY COLD even in the summer!!!
This was the perfect place to skip some stones though!
We took a hike up to the burn area again-
the trees are still just black toothpicks.
We keep hoping every year that we
will start to see some green..... Will try again next year!
Jordan got an air soft gun and just had to take it along -
just cause... you know!

Fourth of July Parade in Creede!
(We love this parade!!!)
We hung out in front of Kip's Bar --as usual--
it's the 'hot spot' for the
BIG water fight! The rafting companies usually
get the water war going! The weather was great and the sun was shining
so getting a 'little' wet was perfect!
(It doesn't hurt that the bar is open with live music and the
drinks were flowing at 10am!!...for the 'big kids' :)

We also celebrated Velma's (Doug's Mom) 88th Birthday!
This is the year of the double digit ages in the Warren family!!!
There is someone with a double digit in almost every
decade this year! STRANGE huh!
Doug (the baby of the Warren's) just happens to to be 44 this year!
We had a spectacular time .... AGAIN!!! We stayed at
Jim & Monica's cabin(Doug's sister). There were 10 of us there --
the food was amazing --thanks Monica--
and the memories made will be cherished -
ALWAYS!
