Cowboy Day!
The whole first grade class dressed up like
Cowboys and Cowgirls... They were precious!
Chuck wagon lunch, stick horse races,
campfire songs, sack races and they even
had some real horses for them to see!
The only problem was it was FREEZIN...
so the chuck wagon meal had to happen inside.
The kids didn't mind that it was so cold outside
so all the games still went right on!

Trash Monster
Piper had a school project due this past week at school
and we just had to show it off!!!
She had to make a Trash Monster out of recycled materials.
That was the only directions we had...
So we put our thinking caps on and
Piper wanted to start with a Fruit Punch jug.
So we cut out the mouth and teeth.
So we cut out the mouth and teeth.
Piper painted him green . His teeth had to be white.
Biscuit can ends became his eyes and we used a left over
pom pom for his nose. He wouldn't have been complete
without a newspaper hair do!! Then she filled him full of
recycled stuff.... Maybe he was Omar the Grouch...
Oscar's brother.... He Loves to EAT trash!! :)
It gave us another chance to talk to the kids
about how important it is to take care of our
planet and recycle as much as we can!

BULLS B-BALL
The boys played in the 22nd Annual
Jim Brinkley / Red Bell Memorial Tournament
this weekend.
They went undefeated!!!! AND... got their
FIRST *BIG* TROPHY!
Jordan LOVES basketball -- He is so determined!
This was Jordan's first time to play AFTER having his
stitches taken out!!! He wanted it wrapped
just to have some extra padding there while it
is healing. He did fine and it's looking good!
There are a few more tourneys out there-- we will
keep you posted!!
